Joseph Uguet
RECNET President | Urban Resilience & Antifragility
Joseph Uguet, Ph.D., is an architect and international expert in sustainable and antifragile urban transformation. With 25+ years of leadership across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, he has driven major regeneration projects and guided entities toward resilience. His doctoral research at the UNESCO Chair UPC analyzed 26 cities and delivered an operational framework to guide antifragile post-crisis urban regeneration. Founder of EverAdapt, a SaaS platform applying antifragility model supported by AI and Digital Twin innovation.

Jordi Morató
Treasurer | Founding Member of RECNET
Ph.D. in Microbiology, with 20 years of experience in research, education and management of sustainable human development projects related to resources (water, soil, biodiversity) and circular economy. Founding member of RECNET. He has participated in more than 80 internationally funded research, training and knowledge transfer projects, applying his experience in water quality, sustainable management of water, and the design and development of urban and socio-ecological transformation projects.

Alexandre Parlange
VP Business Development | Strategic Partnerships
Alexandre Parlange is a sustainability leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in corporate leadership (Alstom, Lagardère), venture development, and territorial transformation initiatives. ESSEC MBA & INSEAD graduate, active in global climate networks. At RECNET, he drives strategic partnerships and business development, connecting urban sustainability, circular economy principles, and scalable territorial impact.

Marc Alban Fortier
VP Operations | Expert Strategy & AI Business
International operations and delivery executive (20+ years) across France, Poland, Spain and the Middle East. Expertise in property development, investment management and consulting. 8 years in corporate finance, 4 years in entrepreneurship and product development. Former Bouygues Immobilier; ESSEC alumni. Over the last 3 years, has helped companies deploy AI in operations and decision-making. At RECNET, owns delivery at scale: planning, resourcing, timelines, quality, and operational playbooks for reliable outcomes.

Nicola Tollin
Research Collaborator | RECNET Secretary & Founder | Professor in Urban Resilience SDU
The focus of Nicola's primary research is sustainable development oriented towards the design and planning processes of sustainable transition for cities and their regions. His research has focused on the integrated assessment of sustainability, future scenarios, decision-making processes, and strategic planning. He has participated as an evaluator in several EU research programs, using his experience in climate change, waste management, resource efficiency, and material cycles.

Brent Villanueva
Technical Secretary and Strategic Lead for Administrative and Financial Management
Economist. Master in Sustainability with specialization in evaluation of sustainable policies of the UPC. Diploma in Systems Dynamics from the UPC Foundation. Expert in Circular Economy. Editor of the Report "Situation and Analysis of the Circular Economy in Spain" of the COTEC Foundation. Candidate for the Ph.D. in Sustainability by the UPC.
